If you're offered a seat on a rocket ship... don’t ask what seat, just get on.Seeing people miss out on awesome opportunities because they are unhappy w/ title.

Titles are funny to me…there is a great interview with Elon Musk where he’s speaking the the WSJ CEO Summit and basically tells the crowd that all their executive titles are just made up.He essentially goes on to say when you register a business you can choose anything you want so he re-registered as Technoking of Tesla. His point is who cares what they call you, what is it you do that makes you valuable?

I don't think I would be getting on any rocket ship blindly because I have been offered a seat. You never know what kind of mission that ship is on. Not signing up for a suicide mission without knowing if I would be martyring for some good cause or not.

Even more ironic considering people make up their own titles on linkedin all the time anyway, or their titles don't even accurately represent the role they're in. Silly thing to get hung up on when no one else cares about it at the end of the day.

I need to know where these rocket ships are going because a lot of rocket ships lead to nowhere.

I started my freight forwarding career as an Ops Agent I. It's been a fun a ride ever since because I understand business and deploy a strong work ethic. Title means nothing if you are a good leader and dedicated worker. Although, in sales, sometimes a better title can get you the attention of whale accounts 😁

Contender vs competitor...the contender worries about outside factors (i.e. title) vs the competitor who has that internal engine that will make them successful regardless of the outside factors. The difference between the successful and the impersonators.

I'm seeing 3 types of 3PLs in the space: 1. Companies compromising their tech decisions (and ultimately improvement) because their team members refuse to change. 2. Companies investing in their team and educating employees to be successful with sophisticated tools. 3. Companies leveling up their talent / adding new roles to push boundaries & elevate their team's ability to handle complex tools. You get to choose your strategy. You also get to live with the outcome.

Software providers... please stop putting out content like: "ten things to consider when evaluating software" It's not genuine. It's extremely biased. It's misleading... and ultimately not helpful.
