Texas A&M University

Prior to June 1969, grading was based on a 3-point system.

Texas A&M Health Science Center

The Texas A&M University Health Science Center, created by a joint resolution of the 75th Texas Legislature and approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in January 1998 was comprised of the following health-related entities throughout the Texas A&M System into one university and began operation on September 1, 1999. As of July 15, 2013, the Texas A&M Health Science Center was officially added as an academic unit under the administration of Texas A&M University. The Texas A&M Health Science Center is comprised of the following academic colleges:

  • College of Dentistry
  • College of Medicine
  • College of Nursing
  • Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy
  • School of Public Health

School of Law

Effective fall 2013, the School of Law became an academic college of Texas A&M University. The law school was established in 1989, as the Dallas/Fort Worth School of Law and was acquired by Texas Wesleyan University (Forth Worth, Texas) in 1992. In 2013, the law school was acquired by Texas A&M University. Grades for the School of Law are letter grades between A+ (4.01) and F (0.00 or P, W, and I). No other grades exist for the law school. Prior to the fall 2003, and while operating as Texas Wesleyan School of Law, the law school employed a numerical grading scale. Former students of the Law School who were enrolled prior to the fall 2013 semester, while it operated under Texas Wesleyan School of Law, will need to order an official transcript from the Texas Wesleyan University's Registrar's Office.
