WAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE2+ weeks agoAgencyThe Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating after shots were fired at a vehicle on Louisburg Road. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on December 20, 2023, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle hit by gunfire while on Louisburg Road near Pulley Town Road. The victim reported that someone shot at his vehicle while he was driving. Investigators have determined that shots were fired from another car. This is being investigated as a road rage incident. No injuries have been reported. As of this release, no one is in custody. This is an active investigation, and there is no additional information at this time. Anyone with information that would assist in the investigation is asked to call WCSO at 919-856-6911.13Like4
WAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE2+ weeks agoAgencyARREST MADE: The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital. On January 11, 2024, at approximately 10:33 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a stabbing near the intersection of St Johns Church Road and Hopkins Chapel Road, near Zebulon. When they arrived, they located an adult female suffering from an apparent stab wound. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. On January 12, 2024, deputies arrested and charged 42-year-old Joshua Ian Richards with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. The victim and the Richards knew each other. Richards was taken into custody and processed at the Wake County Detention Center. This is an active investigation, and there is no additional information at this time.22Like1
WAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE2+ weeks agoAgencyThe Wake County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with a shooting on Old Wake Forest Road. On December 19, 2023, at approximately 6:43 p.m., Wake County Sheriff's Office deputies and officers from the Raleigh Police Department responded to the 6830 block of Old Wake Forest Road for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his face. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. WCSO led the investigation once it was determined that the crime occurred outside of Raleigh’s jurisdiction. On December 20, 2023, deputies and investigators returned to the area of the shooting and located the suspect, 31-year-old Marco Antonio Ramirez-Gonzalez. Ramirez-Gonzalez was taken into custody and charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury. He is being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond.24Like44

At approximately 7:20 p.m., deputies responded to a report of multiple armed suspects entering a home and stealing items. Two victims were home at the time. No injuries have been reported. There is no known threat to the community. This is an ongoing investigation.20Like27

Deputies are on Banks Road, near Pine Bank Drive. We are asking people to avoid the area. Banks Road is closed between Chelsea Drive and Shield Circle. All of their food that we've tried has been good. Shuckin' Shack is also very good and the Full Moon Oyster Bar is also good.
