Foreign I've built a spectacular natural Preserve for dinosaurs in Jurassic world Evolution, 2., really spectacular, sped, no expense and in this video I'm going to show you the process of this build and I'll give you tips and inspiration on how to work with the terrain tools.
It only took me nine months.
I guess you could say this is my baby.
The first step is to create the rough terrain with the terrain, editing, tools and I start by making one giant Plateau I used the water brush, because this flattens the terrain to one height much faster than the flattened tool.
Once we get rid of the water, we can build our Mountain on top of the plateau I'm building the mountain in layers kind of like a tiered wedding cake and I'm, leaving these flat areas on each level, because there will be a pool of water for our waterfalls to feed into and to show what you need to do.
If you are incorporating a mountain into your regular perks, in which case you need flat rain for guest buildings, you want to put hotels viewpoints and even small exhibits or aviaries on the side of a mountain, to give your Park some serious wow factor once in a while, I get a question on how to create mountains in Jurassic world Evolution 2.
Some people think that this is the limit to the height of the terrain.
Of course, the truth is that you can make massive mountains.
The slope, however, is always going to be quite gentle in this game.
You can't make steep Cliffs or any anything, but you can build up a really tall mountain.
As long as you keep widening the base, the technique is really hard to describe you just keep pulling up and in from the foot of your Mountain, so to speak, to build it up, I hope, seeing how I do it will make it make sense at the back of my Mountain I am extending the plateau this way the whole map doesn't remain flat, except for that one mountain there's actually more variation to the terrain levels, which makes it a lot more natural, more visually, appealing and more fun and inspiring to build on.
If you would be building a park here, actually give the video a like and a comment down below if I should do a part.
Two of this build where I turn this natural landscape into a guest.
Appropriate Park could be a fun building challenge for yourself as well to First, make a landscape and then turn it into a park here.
I am adding the lakes on each level.
Of course, as I was building the mountain I already had in mind, where I would be putting the waterfalls, you don't need to have a full, planned or or a complete picture of what you are doing.
It's okay, to sort of discover things you like and what works along the way, but it helps if you have some idea of what you are working towards, so you can landscape the terrain with purpose rather than build a random Mountain first and then figure out where to put your waterfalls or other features.
It's not that it's hard or impossible to change the terrain.
It just takes more time and it could prove to be frustrating the waterfalls on one side of the mountain lead to a river.
My tips for Rivers is to make them bendy just ridiculously bendy.
The other thing is to make them more narrow than the narrowest option for the water brush tool.
That's personal preference though, and depends on the situation and the look that you're going for here again, you can see my technique for getting the shape into a mountain rather than having it look like a big cone or pyramid with the smallest terrain, brush I'm, pulling from the outside in and I'm also changing the shape by using the flattened brush at the foot of the mountain now I'm expanding the plateau even further, because at this point, I've decided that I wanted to add a canyon as well so I'll cut through this Plateau to create the canyon.
The plateau was a little too high to edit with the water brush.
So I did have to use the flattened tool.
It's just a little bit slower.
It's not really a problem, and actually sometimes it can work in your advantage because slower means you're, you're, just naturally taking more time with it and being more careful I'm making my Canyon very bendy, because it's been cut into the terrain by a river which we're adding next and rivers want to be bendy.
After widening the canyon, a bit I'm running the river through and narrowing the river afterwards, just like I did before the terrain.
Editing left some Square shapes in the landscape, and we want to get rid of these, which is done by going back in with the flattened tool from the tall sides of the canyon.
The river cannot be edited with the regular terrain tools, so the river ensures that the general shape of your Canyon and the river itself remain, as you designed them now to make our Kano really building a volcano works.
The same way as building a mountain for a volcano, though you want to make sure that you keep the shape roughly conical and, of course, you want to leave an indentation at the very top I built the rough shape of the volcano with the biggest brush, and then I switched to the smallest brush to add ridges up this side that make the volcano look a lot more natural, even though the terrain tools in the game aren't great.
The Shadows are doing a lot of work here and making it look really good.
In my opinion, we're coming back to all of our landmarks later in the video to add details that make them look even better in front of where the waterfalls will be I.
Have a huge Lake and I initially wanted to add an island in front of it.
But then I had a cooler idea, an impact crater, so I removed the water to create a circular patch of lands and I added a raised Rim along the edge.
Then I created a circle of water within and another raised.
Edge I broke up the rims of the crater to make it look more natural because the terrain wouldn't be pushed up evenly all the way around.
If an impact crater was created.
Our last natural feature is the marsh for which I use the smallest water brush and what can only be described as a haphazard manner.
I start a swamp environment the same way.
Okay, the rough build is done now.
The fun begins, which is bring it all to life with details before we do, though, if you are enjoying the build and the tips give the video a like And subscribe for more we're.
Starting my favorite part of this landscape and those would be the waterfalls.
Obviously we don't have waterfalls in the game, so we have to fake it and we do that with the snow brush which, if you squint, does look like the White Water of waterfalls.
This absolutely brilliant trick.
I saw being done by another YouTuber, crazy cat Mary, who is actually one of the reigning Battle of the builders winners.
She also plays the game unmodded like me, so I will link her channel in the description box for you to check out tiller I, said she's, brilliant, so you've seen me making these waterfalls in the background.
I switch up the design of the waterfalls regularly to make sure that there's a lot of variation going on my favorites slash.
What I think looks the most convincing are the ones that are really narrow and I like the forked ones, where the river is split into by a protruding Rock.
Before we add those rocks and other details here is me quickly, adding terrain paints to the landscape.
The general rule is use the smallest brush and accent ridges or Draw veins on the side of your mountain and then sometimes use a bigger or biggest brush, but create really faded.
Terrain textures, with a light touch.
Some exceptions apply which I will show when we return to the volcano, but in general, avoid simply coloring in a big area with a heavy hand, keep it random and varied, and a light touch back to the waterfalls.
I've created a rock formation at the source of the waterfall to hide that it appears out of nowhere I'm, adding a lot of rocks around waterfalls.
Adding a lot of detail to the edges helps distract from the fact that it's really just a line of cocaine.
It's really just a line of snow.
It's like a magician's beautiful assistant, it's a distraction tactic, but it really helps trust the process after I've added enough rocks to rename my channel to Crazy Rock lady, that's a little little joke for a long time, fans! I love! You guys! Thank you for sticking with the Channel all this time after that comes the time to add foliage and the first thing I do is use the foliage brush to fill in a lot of Blank Space.
You want your Forest to be pretty patchy.
Don't just cover an entire area with trees, especially not on the side of your Mountain, then using the individually placeable trees.
I continue to make our magician's assistant as beautiful as possible to distract the FBI from the line of cocaine to distract your eyes from the line of snow dressed up as a waterfall.
There's no formula for the placement just keep mixing the type of trees and make it look pretty and for all you old, console players out out.
There I only use the default trees from this biome around these waterfalls they're the best trees.
Anyway, you don't need the other ones check out this video on the channel on how to make different biomes on each of the Maps, using only the default trees.
I played around with the snow texture to create the effect of white water at the base of the waterfalls and the mixed snow brush turned out to work really well for that.
The volcano I painted with the gray rock texture to make it stand out and make it different from our mountain range, but I did still break up the color with other ground texture, so it doesn't look too flat.
Now, volcanic soil is really fertile, so one way to go is to add really Lush foliage around the volcano, or you can do what I did, which is to use enough dead trees for the channel to be renamed crazy, dead tree lady.
The idea here is that there's been a minor eruption fairly recently, with some lava being spewed out, which Set Fire to the surrounding Forest burning it down.
You know just happy thoughts to think about, while building your Park coming up with stories behind your Parks or even your Landscapes is really helpful, though it keeps you sane during long builds and it Sparks creative ideas that will lead to a more realistic and interesting end.
Result.
I use the gray rock texture for the canyon as well.
Again, though, breaking it up with a little bit of another ground texture other than that I didn't really do much to the canyon.
The marsh I filled with low Shrubbery and because that was super simple and a little plain, looking I did add some trees to Spruce it up.
They weren't spruce trees, though the last step was adding some loose rocks to the impact crater.
Now, if you are building an impact crater on a tropical map, where you have different terrain textures, you could fake different water depths by using different terrain textures under the water darker terrain, textures for deeper water and lighter ones for more shallow water.
It doesn't really work with the terrain paints on the map.
I built this on, though this is the end result.
Let me know if we should pave paradise and put up a dinosaur theme park.
Thank you so much for watching liking, subscribing and until next time enjoy the game.
