Since May 2021 Winetours Bulgaria is a licenced travel agency. Their online shop for wine experiences shop.winetours.bg provides various self-guided wine tastings, wine and food experiences, wine tours, wine weekends and teambuilding events in the best wineries in Bulgaria.

Managed by two young wine knowledgeable ladies – Krasimira Kodukova and Gergana Todorova the online platform Winetours.bg and their project Wine Tour Maker help wine lovers discover the possibilities of wine experiences in Bulgaria, also the wineries to develop their wine tourism services and tour operators to create their wine tours and find wine guides.

Gergana is WSET Advanced Certified and currently completing a Diploma level. She has a master’s degree in Agricultural Tourism at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv.
Krassimira has amaster degree in “Technology of fermenting products” (wine and dairy products ) in the University of Food Technologies, a master degree in”Viticulture and Enology” in the Agricultural University of Plovdiv. She is a certified tour guide as well.

We truly believe that Bulgaria is the hidden wine gem of SE Europe, with 5 000 years’ old wine traditions, and it is our pleasure to present you VIA VINO – a Bulgarian wine tourism project. We are a team of ambitious specialists who strive to offer enchanting and authentic wine experiences in Bulgaria and the Balkans. The exquisite quality and attractiveness of our tours are based on our knowledge of the Bulgarian vine-and-wine sector, nearly 30-years’ experience in the special interest tourism (mainly incoming from Western Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.), our passion for wine.

We are based in Sofia and offer diverse private wine & culinary experiences from day trips to comprehensive (9-10 days) wine tours. We are flexible and could tailor all our programs but also promote various wine events to you - participating in the harvest, celebrating our unique wine holidays (Trifon Zarezan or the Days of the young wine in Plovdiv for example), wine blending/making, corporate events with wine sampling etc. Our tours very often combine in addition:

• Stay in authentic small hotels and guest houses with local charm;
• Participative experiences – handicraft workshops, Slow Food cooking courses, festivals related to the Bulgarian living traditions etc.;
• Heritage tours – Thracian, Roman and Byzantine sites, religious sites etc.;

• Spa & Wellness (there are more than 600 thermal springs in the country!);

If you have a few hours free and want to fill it up with some fun let me show you where to start.

On this tour, you will visit a range of unique venues chosen for their excellent wine selections and contribution to Bulgaria’s wide variety, and listen to their fascinating stories. I also can introduce you to Sofia and Bulgaria’s history, culture and traditions so you can learn as you walk.

The duration of the tour is 2.5-3 hours. The minimum number of people per tour is 2, and the maximum is 10. The tour is in English or Bulgarian only. For larger groups, please contact me at… Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the journey.

There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it.

The tour price includes light nibbles and wine samples at certain venues.

All participants must be over 18 years of age.

Bulgaria is full of surprises, and one of them is the exciting wines the country offers.
