yesterday at the home of a daugh ter Mrs Atkinson of 1301 Bretton Street She had been in declining health for several years and seriously ill for two weeks Mrs Hardy was the daughter of the late Jessie and Ellen Tate Cummings and the widow of John Hardy She had been a mem ber of Siloam Baptist Church for the past 50 years Surviving are a son Howard Hardy of Siloam three daughters Mrs Atkinson Mrs Raw ley of 410 Westover Avenue and Mrs A Snow of Siloam 12 grandchildren and 14 great grand children uneral services will be conduct ed at 2:30 pm Saturday at Siloam Baptist Church by the Rev James Dockery the Rev Powers and the Rev Draughn The body will lie in state for 30 min utes before the service Burial will be in the church cemetery Pallbearers will be Paul Snow James Snow George Snow Bob Snow' Ralph Atkinson and Jack Suther The body will be taken to the home of a daughter Mrs Snow in Siloam Earl Marvin Cobb Earl Marvin Cobb 56 of 820 South Main Street died at 2:45 pm yesterday in a Winston Salem hos pital He had been ill for six months He was born June 5 1900 Chatooga Ga a son of William Thomas and Mary McIntosh Cobb He spent most of his life in Rome and Lindale Ga moving to Win ston Salem three years ago He worked here with the Special Serv ice Bureau a collection agency Mr Cobb was a member of the Silver Creek Presbyterian Church in Lindale and attended Lee Me morial Presbyterian Church here He was twice married first to Miss Thelma Gaston who died in 1938 and second to Miss Daisy Hyatt who survives Also surviving are three daugh ters Mrs Duncan of 1909 Chapel Street Mrs Harry Os born of Atlanta Ga and Miss Sherry Lynn Cobb of the home three brothers Cecil Cobb Charlie Cobb and Robert Cobb all of La Grange Ga and two sisters Mrs Laura Milan of Rome Ga and Mrs Jack Brown of Lindale Ga The body will be sent train today to Lindale Ga where fu neral services will be held Satur day Elijah Bowlin MOUNT AIRY Nov 8 Elijah Bowlin 63 of Mount Airy Route 3 Pine Ridge section died in a Winston Salem hospital at 4: 10 pm today following a stroke of paralysis suffered last night at one of the tobacco warehouses in Win ston Salem where he had taken a load of tobacco He was bom eb 20 1893 in Patrick County Va son of Ed ward and rances Lawson Bowlin Surviving are his wife the for mer Minnie Holt five daughters Miss Jewel Bowlin of the home Mrs Herman Marion of Mount Airy Route 3 Mrs Carroll Harris of Toast Mrs Dallas Noonkester of Ararat Va and Mrs Clara Phillips of Greensboro four sons Edsell Bowlin of the home Lesley Bowlin of Mount Airy Route 3 critical illness of several weeks He was born in Davidson County a son of Armitt and Jennie Ward Stone and had spent his en tire life in Davidson County His father died last Sept 28 He was employed by Acme Electric Co of Winston Salem He was a member of Pine Woods Methodist Church end a member of the Youth Class of the Sunday School He is survived by his mother of Thomasville Route 4 three broth
